Chelsea Peretti Remembers Andre Braugher

The comedian and actress shares a touching tribute to her former co-star

Chelsea Peretti is remembering her late Brooklyn Nine-Nine costar Andre Braugher even in the hardest moments.

The comedian and actress took to social media on Tuesday to share a photo of herself and Braugher, who passed away on Monday at the age of 79. In the caption, Peretti wrote, "I'm heartbroken to hear about the passing of Andre Braugher. He was a brilliant actor, a kind and generous man, and a true friend. My heart goes out to his family and friends."

Peretti and Braugher starred together on Brooklyn Nine-Nine for six seasons. Peretti played Gina Linetti, a sassy and sarcastic civilian employee of the NYPD, while Braugher played Captain Raymond Holt, the stoic and serious commanding officer of the precinct.

The two actors had a close relationship both on and off screen. In a 2018 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Peretti said of Braugher, "He's like a big brother to me. He's always there for me, no matter what. He's the best."

Braugher's death is a huge loss for the entertainment industry and for the world. He was a talented actor who brought joy to millions of people. He will be deeply missed.
